Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to examine types of representations and the transitions between these representations of science textbook unit assessment questions, science questions included in central exams between 2013-2022, and science written exam questions. In addition, it was aimed to reveal which points teachers pay attention to when measuring and evaluating. The study was conducted with document analysis method. As data collection tools in the research, the science textbook, which is intended to be taught for five years in the 2018-2019 academic years, the central exam (LGS) questions between the years 2013-2022, the science written exam questions and a semi-structured interview form were used. The data were analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the research, it was determined that the representation types of science unit evaluation questions, science questions belonging to central exams and science written exam questions generally focused on text and pictures. It has been determined that the transitions from one representation type to another representation type are mostly on the text representation type and the majority of the questions are in the learning areas of "Living Things and Life", "Physical Events" and "Matter and Its Nature". According to the results obtained from the teacher interview forms, it was seen that the teachers thought that graphics and table presentation types should be emphasized, but they focused on the text and picture representation types in the written exam questions. It has been concluded that graphics, tables and mathematical expressions are not sufficiently included. It was determined that the teachers determined difficulty level of exam questions according to the characteristics and achievements of the students. It was concluded that the teachers did not pay enough attention to the concepts of validity and reliability in the written exam questions.
