Analogies categorise partaking in science textbook

The purpose of this study is to categorise partaking in science textbooks which is used at public school and private school in 2015-2016 school year. For this purpose textbooks which in will be read 2015-2016 were downloaded from The Minister Of National Education's web page and were analyzed with document review method in which is involved descriptive models. Textbooks were scanned and analogies were determined. Then this analogies were evaluated with an expert from Science Teaching and were identified confidence according to confidence inventory which was conducted by Miles Y. Huberman. Determined analogies were categorised at a chart according to analogic classification which was conducted in 1994 by Thiele and Treagust and findings were explained according to the percentage obtained. At the end of study mistake related analogies were stated and were offered suggestions. Keywords: Science Textbook, Analogy, Science Education
