Abstract (EN)
The study conducted; The aim of this study is to measure the cognitive awareness of the students in the schools of Ministry of National Education regarding simple machines in the science and technology curriculum. For this purpose, the sample group was limited to 172 students studying at the 8th grade in state schools which handles located at Muratpaşa district of Antalya and the science secondary school in Muratpaşa, which handles the subject of science and technology lesson and simple machines within this course. The questionnaire was used as data collection tool. The data obtained with this questionnaire are interpreted using test techniques in the SPSS package program such as Anova, Manova, Chisquare, etc. To compare the variables such as Schools, genders, etc. Pearson correlation test was applied. According to the data obtained from the study, there is no significant difference between the variables of cognitive awareness such as students' school, age, gender and soon, about simple machines.
