Investigating the relationship between science teachers' science teaching self-efficacy and their use of mobile applications for educational purposes

Teachers are the most important element in a successful education system, and their qualifications and performance are key to raising well-qualified students. In this context, it can be said that the importance of teacher training is prioritized. In this study, the relationship between science teachers' science teaching self-efficacy and their use of mobile applications for educational purposes will be examined. For this study, we will try to reach all 80 Science teachers working in Turgutlu district in the 2022-2023 academic year. In the study, data will be collected by using two measurement tools with proven validity and reliability, namely "the scale used to measure science teaching self-efficacy beliefs" and "the scale for examining the use of mobile applications for educational purposes". In the analysis of the data, descriptive statistics will be evaluated in terms of highest and lowest values, arithmetic mean and standard deviation. Assuming that the data will be normally distributed, one-way analysis of variance will be used to determine whether there is a significant difference according to gender. In case the data are not normally distributed, relevant non-prametric tests will be used. The relationship between teachers' self-efficacy and their use of mobile applications for educational purposes will be analyzed by Pearson Correlation Analysis. If the data are not normally distributed, the relationship will be analyzed by Spearman Rank Difference Correlation Analysis. According to the research findings, the expected result is that there is a relationship between science teachers' self-efficacy and their use of mobile applications for educational purposes.
