Abstract (EN)

Media literacy is one of the most important 21st century life skills for children growing up in the media spiral. Similarly, one pillar of the concept of digital competence, which is among the key competences of the Turkish Qualifications Framework, is related to the competence to use media correctly. In this context, the study aims to identify the content of phenomenon teachers who produce content via Instagram and to examine the messages their posts carry in the context of children's rights. Criterion sampling method was chosen when determining phenomenal teachers. All posts made by selected profiles that actively share on Instagram, have a high number of followers, and whose administrators are teachers, were considered as documents. The posts of the examined profiles were subjected to descriptive analysis and content analysis; coded and divided into categories. Social media orientations of the categories that emerged in the teacher profiles examined; It has been observed that these are in the form of advertisements, campaign announcements, asking for help, trend testing, classroom/school shootings, educational shares, expressing satisfaction, directing to different channels, addressing followers and personal use posts. It has been determined that phenomenal teachers use their channels for entertainment purposes, reaching followers through advertisements and campaigns, marketing or giving advice rather than for educational purposes.
