Özet (EN)

This study is related to how today's intellectual currents such as Materialism, Positivism, Darwinism and Feminism are handled in the eyes of Farid Wajdi and his approach to these movements. At the point of preference of the research topic, the fact that these movements are closely related to the Muslim identity and have an impact on beliefs has been effective. The vast majority of the arguments used by Wajdi throughout the research consist of the principles of science, reason and philosophy rather than religious texts. The ideas and hypotheses put forward by these currents of thought may be similar to each other from time to time. However, the separation of the currents from each other in terms of subject and method has made it necessary to evaluate each topic within itself. In the first part, materialism in general and today's materialism in particular are examined. The theses of today's materialism about matter and force have been criticized by scientists' approaches. In the second part, positivism's understanding of knowledge is discussed with the approaches of scientists, and the fact that science does not adopt a fixed structure, experiment and observation, as well as the inadequacy of the senses and reason are discussed. In the third chapter, Darwinism and its fundamentals are examined, and the fact that evolution requires a long period of time is criticized. The theory of heredity and vestigial organs was evaluated by Wajdi in the context of divine inspiration and providence. In the fourth part, the claims of equality and freedom of feminism, which is closely related to the female gender, are emphasized and the duty of motherhood is prioritized in the construction of women's society.
