Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, one of the most important compositions of Fernando Sor, "Grande Sonate", has been examined. All movements of this four-movement sonata are analysed through harmonic, formal and motivic means. In order to inform readers about norms and customs of sonata-writing during composition of Op. 22, first part of the thesis is dedicated to historical development of sonata genre. To have a better understanding of theoretical background of music analysis, the second part contains a brief explanation of forms frequently encountered in sonata movements. In conclusion section, standing out properties and deviations of individual movements are treated; also, inter-movement materials present in the sonata are listed in an attempt to shed light on Fernando Sor's methods of creating compositional coherence.
