In the introduction section, life, personality and literarycharacteristic of Kıvami and also his working life as a historian have been expressed.After the introduction section, some information was given about the work?s name,subject and the date of writing. And also general information was given about fetihnamewhich is the type of the work in terms of literature, and some major works that arecalled as fetihname by their authors were also introduced.In the first section, the work, Fetihname-i Sultan Mehmed, was analyzed from theaspects of dictation characteristic, phonetic and morphological properties. In the secondsection, the work has been transformed into Latin letters and punctuation marks in theprose part have been added by us; thereby, the work has been aimed to be simpler andclearer to be observed and read.The work, Fetihname-i Sultan Mehmed, which is an important resource in terms ofTurkish language and history for it reflects old Anatolian Turkish and also tellshistorical events, has been introduced with various respects in order to be benefited byconcerned people.Key Words: Fetihname, Kıvami, Fetihname-i Sultan Mehmed, Old AnatolianTurkish, History Clerkship.
