Relationship between depression, anxiety, anxiety sensitivity, fear avoidance beliefs and quality of life in fibromyalgia patients

Abstract (EN)

The paradigm of the research consisted of 37 female patients with fibromiolgy who were followed in İstanbul Bağcılar Training and Research hospital policlinic of Algolgy and 37 female without fibromyology. The date of the research was conducted by cross-sectional sociodemographic and clinical features form, Quailty of lise form (SF-36), The fear avoidance beliefs questionnaire, Anxiety sensitivity index-3, Beck anxiety inventory, Beck depression inventory and Visual analog scale was applied to cases. According to the finding of research, it was determined that the patients who diagnosed with fibromyolgia can not perform many physical and social activities in their daily life and their quality of life decreased. Also, according to the literature, patients with fibromalgia were found to be close psychiatric disorders. It can be said that anxiety, depressions and the severity of pain to social functioning is higher than the control group. In the patient group, it was determined that haddition to anxiety, level of depression and public health, also reduces social functioning, mental it health, physical function and emotional role difficulty.
