Welding to the picture in terms of figurative anatomy research

In this research, the concept of anatomy, in terms of contribution to the figure painting, and the artists and illustrators who have researches and works in this subject are examined in the light of artists? works and the notes that they wrote. In this work; studies in the field of artistic anatomy and paintings are examined from the beginning of the studies in this field. Figure painting is examined in the historical process to understand the contribution of explicating different terms with anatomy in art or not to figure painting.With the humanistic ideas developed during the Renaissance, the interest and value to human-being increased. This issue was effective for the development of the figure painting. The artists felt free from the compulsion of the Medieval Age began to make researches and the human body and anatomy became one of the most important elements of artists? researches.Seeking for the ideal beauty understanding began with the Classical Aegean art. Cadaver studies weren?t done in this age. Renaissance Age is a term which scientific researches and art met together. With this issue the artist who has the chance to study on human body derive benefit from artistic anatomy. In the Modern Art Age, by increasing the importance of the freedom of the artist some ideas were agree to the necessity of anatomy for the figure painting while some were rejecting it.In this research the figure painting in different ages is examined in terms of the necessity of artistic anatomy.
