Abstract (EN)

The right of communication to the public is a crucial intellectual property right that aims to grant the author control over the dissemination and distribution of their work to a broad audience. This right is especially significant in today's rapidly developing digital age, as it plays a key role in protecting the rights of authors. The right of communication to the public encompasses not only traditional media channels such as radio, television, cable, and wireless transmission but also includes broadcasts via the internet and satellite. This scope allows works to reach a wide audience across various platforms, granting the author exclusive rights over these transmissions. In our thesis, the introduction will provide general information on the concepts of works, types of works, and authorship. The second section, the definition, scope, and relationships of the right of communication to the public with other economic rights will be addressed. The third section will examine in detail the types of communication to the public, including transmission via means of transmitting signs, sounds, and/or images, retransmission, and the right to make works accessible to the public. The final section will cover the legal actions that can be taken in cases of infringement of the right of communication to the public. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the right of communication to the public and examine its scope in detail.
