This study is targeted in order to examine Filibeli Ahmet Hilmi?sreligion and philosophical ideas. Ahmet Hilmi plays an important role inunderstanding the opinion crisis felting in Turkish society and commenting onit in the process of Turkish modernization. Filibeli Ahmet Hilmi was born inFilibe (Bulgaria) in 1865. He finished in Galatasaray High school. He died in1914. His main traces are; Amâkı Hayal, Tarihi slâm, Huzuru Aklı FendeMaddiyyun Mesleki Dalâleti, Allah?ı nkâr Mümkün mü?, Arifler Sofrası, Üss-islâm, lmi Ahvâli Ruh, Öksüz Turgut, Muhalefetin flası, etc.Three kind knowledge are in his knowledge intelligence. These arereligion, philosophical, and scientific knowledges. Science is interested inhow the event did. Science?s method are mind, experience, induction anddeduction. Philosophy is interested in the event?s reasons. It helps to get holdof reality?s knowledge. Its method is to reason. A person believes in God isreligion. Science needs philosophy. Also philosophy needs science.Philosophy?s and science?s support have to be been religion. Filibeli AhmetHilmi set off finding and understanding God with a possible existance. In hisopinion, God created from existence the universe. A human was composedof the body and essence. On the other hand, essence is a human?s self.Filibeli Ahmet Hilmi?s value intelligence was assembled on the religion,morals and law. In Morals, functions are foundation. Functions must be doneto be fair. Functions are sacred that as long as they do to be fair.
