Abstract (EN)

By following up on the Palestinian Cause and the changes it has been recently undergone, and the regional and international factors that influence its course, as well as the growing Turkish role in regional issues, especially the Palestinian Cause, which revealed Turkey's new image and the shift in its foreign policies, it was necessary to examine Turkey's image in the daily Palestinian newspapers, with different political orientations. As we can notice, this study sought to identify the media portrayal that daily Palestinian newspapers present about the Republic of Turkish over a period of three years, between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2018. As is well known, the press plays an important role in forming public impressions about an issue, and it plays its role in creating mental images in the minds of its followers about the issues it raises, which greatly contributes to the audience's interaction with what the media publishes. The research is an exploratory study that dealt with issues of the two newspapers: Palestine, which is published in the Gaza Strip, and Al-Ayyam which is published in the West Bank. The two aforementioned newspapers were selected as representatives of the West Bank and Gaza Strip press. The study employed the content analysis method, and the content analysis form tool was used for data acquisition. The study showed that the image of Turkey in the daily Palestinian newspapers "Islamic Newspapers" is "positive", but "Secular Newspapers" is "Negative", which is consistent with the study hypotheses.
