Abstract (EN)
In his thesis titled "The Representation of the War between Palestine and Israel on Palestinian Cinema", he aims to examine the representation of Israel's oppression and atrocities against the Palestinian people in Palestinian cinema. In the first part, the history of Palestine and the history of Palestinian cinema are discussed. By entering the history of Palestine, by focusing on the 1948 war, social movements before and after it were mentioned, and the independence process of the Palestinian people, who struggled for life under occupation with the intifada movements. In this context, Palestinian cinema, which developed under the shadow of political factors, was analyzed by dividing into four parts. In the second part of the thesis, prominent directors and their film understandings in Palestinian cinema were examined. In the third part, the films Paradise Now, 3000 Nights and 200 Meters are analyzed in the context of prisons, borders and suicide bombers that constitute the concrete reality of the war.
