Analysis of the relationship between financial threat, perception of organizational support, and financial anxiety

This study aims to examine the relationship between individuals' perceived levels of financial threat, financial anxiety, and their perceptions of organizational support. A structured survey consisting of demographic questions, the Financial Threat Scale, the Financial Anxiety Scale, and the Perceived Organizational Support Scale was administered to 518 employed individuals. Data analysis employed independent samples t-tests, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation, and Regression analysis. The study investigated the interrelations among financial threat, financial anxiety, and perceived organizational support, as well as potential differences in these variables based on demographic characteristics. As a quantitative research study, it employed descriptive statistics alongside correlational, comparative, and predictive analyses on data collected via a survey method. The findings indicated that perceived financial threat significantly influences both financial anxiety and perceived organizational support. Moreover, significant differences were observed in financial threat, financial anxiety, and perceived organizational support based on demographic variables such as gender, marital status, age, education level, employment sector, and monthly income. The results further revealed that perceived organizational support has a significant negative effect on financial threats, while financial threat exerts a significant positive effect on financial anxiety. This study contributes to the literature by enhancing the understanding of how financial threat and anxiety impact employees' work life and provides practical recommendations for organizations to strengthen their employee support systems.
