Abstract (EN)

"Business Continuity Management (BCM)" is relatively nascent field of study. In this regard, scholars and pratitioners know few things regarding antecedents and consequences of BCM. There fore, this study aims to understand consequences arising out of exercising the management practice as well as factors making it possible. Accordingly, semi-structured interviews have been conducted with officials of 23 companies, which have aforementioned business continuity. The findings reveal that BCM has organizational, industrial, environmental, customer-based and finally, stakeholder expectation-based antecedents. In similar veins, results of the study also indicate several consequences such as increased internal and external customer satisfaction in companies, strengthening proactive skills, protection and consolidating of corporate identity, tightening trust in companies and increasing organizational performance.
