Abstract (EN)

Physical activity is a bodily movement. Physical activity does not have to be planned, structured, repetitive or purposeful. All bodily behaviors in daily life are part of physical activity. Many factors affecting physical activity can be mentioned. In addition to demographic factors, environmental factors may also affect the type or frequency of physical activity. Motivation is a factor with a strong emotion that affects the beginning and continuity of physical activity. Fitness centers are one of the areas that offer opportunities for physical activity in modern societies. Fitness centers have a growing sectoral trend due to various physical activity opportunities. Correct analysis of this ternd is dependent on the correct interpretation of expectations of physical activity in a society. This study focuses on measuring the expectations physical activity of individuals using the fitness centers in the province of Yalova. In accordance with this purpose, a survey has been conducted for individuals using fitness centers. Initially, descriptive questions regarding demographic structures have been put. Afterwards, questions have been adressed about the expectations of the participants from the physical activity and fitness centers. A total of 300 individuals participated in the research for physical activity. In addition to descriptive statistics, comparative descriptive analyzes have been performed according to the relationship between variables. It has been detected that individuals using fitness centers are affected by many factors simultaneous. Keywords: Physical activity, fitness center, individual expectation.
