Abstract (EN)

Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate and to carry out statistical analysis of 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship. Method: The videos of forty-three matches, which were played as from second round at 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, and athletes' physical characteristics were taken from FIVB digital data system. Data Volley 4 volleyball statistics program and analysis package program were used to analyze the videos. In order to test researcher's reliability, 10 matches' statistical data prepared by Polish and Canadian coaches, who participated in the tournament, were used to compare, and Cronbach's Alpha internal consistency value was determined as .978. One-Way Anova was used to determine differences between groups, Spearman Correlation test was used to analyze correlation between data, and Linear regression analysis was applied to determine percentage of impact. SPSS 23 package program was used to analyze statistical relationships between obtained data and 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship. Results: 2014 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship ranking was determined to be related to age, total point, win-lost average, side out point, break point, total serve, ace, total attack point, total block point, block height and reception error. Conclusion: The results show that modern volleyball is not a sport containing specific techniques or game parts. All techniques and game parts are in a constant relationship within themselves and with success. In this regard, while preparing for a match or a tournament in elite level, or following junior athletes' developments, the game's needs should be taken into consideration to prepare programs. Key words: Volleyball, match analysis, game analysis
