Özet (EN)
The aim of this study is to investigate the knowledge of physics teacher candidates about electric field lines by drawing method. The study was carried out in accordance with qualitative research methods. The participants in the study were 27 physics teachers who studied at the public university and had seen the subject of electric field lines in their course. The Electric Field Lines Scale has been prepared for data collection. Electric field lines are a good model for visualizing electric field patterns. The Electric Field Lines Scale is designed to measure participants' information by drawing method. The scale is designed to cover the rules of 'drawing the electric field lines to come out of positive load, drawing the electric field lines to enter the negative load, the frequency of the electric field lines is proportional to the amount of load, drawing the electric field lines without intersecting, frequent drawing of the electric field lines where the electric field is large, and the tangent at any point to the electric field lines to show the electric area at that point'. After the scale has been prepared, opinions from 7 experts have been drawn and corrections have been made in line with these insights. The scale consists of four parts. The first two sections give the participants different situations in which to draw electric lines. In the third part, participants were asked to draw the electric field vector and arrange the magnitude. In the fourth part, incorrect electric field drawings were given and the delegates were asked to find errors in the drawings and to explain the error. The analysis of the data was done in accordance with the descriptive analysis. Each rule was treated as a theme and the data was coded to suit those themes. The correct ones on the participants' drawings are given 1 point and those that are incorrect are given 0 points. This will help to identify the success of the participants. Scoring drawings in parallel with two experts ensures scoring reliability. The points that participants receive from their drawings vary according to the learning outcome. There was a high success in drawing electric field lines for positive and negative charge and showing that the electric field lines do not intersect. The success of the proportional drawing of electric field lines has been found to be moderate. Participants have found that their success in demonstrating the electric field vector at any point in the electric field is low.
