The development process of the flute in chamber music between 17th and 20th century

From the 17th century until the 20th century, flute has experienced an effective development process in the axis of chamber music. In this study, the development of the flute in the axis of chamber music between the 17th and 20th centuries was researched and the important composers and their works that influenced its development were listed. The research has been done on the differencrs of their style in their works, their musical structures and the place of flute in these works and how effectively they are used. Information about the works was given by examining the periods, composers and their works based on a chronological order. This study includes the titles "Problem, Importance of Research, Limitations and Universe Sample, Method, Model, Assumptions and Data Collection and Analysis". The first part of the study is the "Introduction" part. The second part of the study is about the definition and history of chamber music. In addition, flute and flute music has been studied in the chamber music family. The third part of the study covers researches on the development of flute and chamber music. In this section, the development process of the flute in the axis of chamber music was followed in chronological order and information about the works and composers who contributed to the development were given. In the fourth part, which is the last part of the study, there are evaluations about flute and chamber music of today. Various examples are given and innovations related to flute music are shared. Accordingly, in this study, chamber music repertoire has been examined and listed by being limited to the available resources. The study has been prepared as a guide for flutists in this field.
