Abstract (EN)
Switch mode power supplies, which have high efficiency, fast transient response, high power density and reliability, are are currently preferred in industry. When the literature is researched, there are many switching power supply topologies. Flyback converter is preferred over other insulated converters in low voltage and medium power applications due to the lack of elements on the circuit and its economy. In this thesis, it is aimed to design a flyback converter that can power up to 40W and its efficiency is over 75%. At the beginning of the design, flyback converter the working principle and operating conditions are examined. As a result of the examination, the formulas required for the design have developed. Later, the formulas required for transformer, control circuit and snubber circuit have developed. After developing the necessary design formulas, the necessary parameters for power losses and application circuit design were calculated. The circuit is simulated with the calculated values. After analyzing the simulation results, the application circuit was designed. Keywords: Flyback converter, switch mode power supply, transformer, snubber circuit
