Özet (EN)

The study covers the area that is the South of Çandarlı Golf, north of İzmir Golf, west of Menemen and east of Aegean Sea.Geologically, the neogene volcanic and volcano-sedimentary and alluvions are found in the study area. The study area has a flat view morphologically. The main geomorphologic units are; mountainous areas, plains and coast morphology.In this area, Mediterranean climate prevails. The average temperature of Foça is 16.7º C. Because of the climate, in the summer session, drought is seen. This situation affects agriculture and tourism significantly.In such area, zonal soils (red Mediterranean soils), rendzina, alluvial and colluvial soil has been subjected to erosion.The climax plant of the area is composed of red pine (pinus brutia) that is found as a small duster. A majority of red pine is replaced by maquis because of the deforestation and in place where maquis has been destroyed; maquis is replaced by gariques communities.I., II. III. IV. Class areas are suitable for cultivation extend the coastal belt. However, there is no fourth class areas. VI. Class areas should be grasslands and VII. Class areas should be forest regions. Eighth class areas consist of mountainous areas, saline and deltas.Settlements and especially secondary houses are found along the coastal belt. Because of this, agricultural areas are found in the South of the study area. Also, there is missing of land because arable lands are used for settlements.In order to maintain sustainable development in the study area, agricultural areas should be rearranged in accordance with public good and sustainability.
