Özet (EN)
Wireless communication is band-limited. In this context, it is very important to use the spectrum efficiently. Faster-than-Nyquist signaling is an important technique to increase the throughput of the band. However, intersymbol interference occurs because Faster-than-Nyquist signaling does not meet the Nyquist pulse shaping criterion. Nyquist pulse shaping is the criterion for transmitting symbols without intersymbol interference. The occurrence of intersymbol interference is an obstacle to reliable communication. Estimation algorithms have been proposed to eliminate the intersymbol interference effect. In this study, Field Programmable Gate Arrays implementation of Faster-than-Nyquist signaling and Successive Symbol-by-Symbol Sequence Estimation algorithm are studied with 5G standard channel codes, namely Low-Density Parity-Check codes and polar Codes. Simulation results were examined for three different time acceleration parameters and hardware complexity comparisons were made. It is observed that performance gains of coded FTN systems are higher than coded Nyquist systems and therefore channel coding assists in compensating the performance loss incurred due to the intersymbol interference. The implementation results show that compared to the complexity of decoders, Faster-than-Nyquist detector complexity is insignificant. Keywords: Faster-than-nyquist, low-density parity-check codes, polar codes, field programmable gate arrays
