In our country, the construction sector is at the forefront of the sectors in which economic added value is produced the most. In recent years, the construction industry has developed intensively. For this reason, aggregate quarries show a parallel development in supplying raw materials to the construction industry. The need for employment is also increasing in aggregate quarries, which develop in parallel with the construction sector, which has a high employment capacity. With the increase in employment, work accidents and occupational diseases increase in this sector due to the personnel who have not received adequate training on occupational safety and adopted occupational safety, and the enterprises that do not take safety precautions. In order to prevent the loss of life, economic losses, loss of work days and reputation caused by work accidents, taking the opinions of the employees on occupational health and safety and ensuring their participation in occupational health and safety studies, having expert personnel, informing and training the employees about the dangers in the workplace, as well as new risks. It is necessary to carry out risk assessment studies in workplaces with assessment approaches. Along with risk analysis, the identification of hazards and the development of prevention policies against them are among the things that need to be done. In this study, unlike the traditional risk analysis methods, which are based on probability, severity and frequency variables and carried out with quantitative values, in any business, the Functional System, which evaluates the functions in terms of quality, allows the expansion of human judgment, and enables the production of a wide range of error or accident causes. A different perspective has been tried to be put forward by using the Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM) application. By evaluating the effects of this perspective on the occupational health and safety performance and the performance of the enterprise, preventing the losses to be experienced in open pit mines, how the changes that will occur in the system components will affect the system functions, determining the focal points that need to be improved in order to reduce the loss of life, cost, environmental impact and accidents and in these areas. It is aimed to contribute to what needs to be done, and the issues that should be considered such as ground survey, transportation, climatic conditions of the place where the quarry is located and sudden weather changes, the competence of the working personnel and occupational safety awareness, the suitability of the prepared slopes, the timing during the blasting were determined.
