Özet (EN)
In this study, the effect of the tool helix angle and connecting height on the vibration and surface roughness was investigated in a CNC milling machines in case of 90º lateral milling. In the experiments, the HSS mills cutter with a diameter of 20 mm and with different helical angles (α, 20º, 30º, 40º) was used as cutting tool while AISI 1040 steel and GG30 material were used as work piece. Experiments were carried out at three different cutting speeds (V; 15 m/min, 20 m/min, 25 m/min.), chip width (w; 0.5 mm, 1 mm, 1.5 mm) and touch height (h; 10 mm, 20 mm, 30 mm), connecting the cutter having a length of L=70 mm. The vibration and surface roughness formed during milling was measured depending on these parameters. As a result, it was observed that the vibration is decreased significantly when the helix angle of the cutter is increased. In addition, it is seen that the vibration has a significant effect on the surface roughness. Key Words : Key Words: Get Surface milling, Surface roughness, Vibration
