Abstract (EN)
On this work themed as "Phrygian Religious Beliefs and Customs? Phrygian religious beliefs, Phrygian Gods, Phrygian temples and monuments and ultimately Phrygian religious ceremonies and customs are examined in detail and a general evaluation is made in the light of this information.The effects of Phrygian Gods on the community and especially the preponderance of Cybele belief are addressed in detail. The places where the Phrygian temples and monuments were situated, their architectural characteristics, and the meanings derived from these are examined. Religious ceremonies, customs and burial traditions which were important parts of the community life are described inclusively.By handling "Phrygian Religious Beliefs and Customs" as a whole, and by analyzing the strong connections among beliefs, gods, customs and ceremonies, concrete sources are examined.At the end of all of these examinations and evaluations, it can be seen that Phrygians had religious beliefs and customs which had very strong and rich elements together with the great civilization which they established in Anatolia, and those beliefs and customs played important roles in the community life.
