Abstract (EN)

In this study, preliminary studies on reproductive biology of Fritillaria assyriaca Baker subsp. assyriaca (Donuk Lale) (Liliaceae) are included. 34 of Fritillaria L., which has about 130 species in the world, are used in ornamental plants. Turkey is situated in the natural distribution of 39 taxa. Although genus is so diverse and includes taxons that need to be protected, it has been observed that the studies on the understanding and conservation of the breeding biology of the species are insufficient. Studies in conservation studies without understanding the reproduction biology of the species are not efficient enough. F. assyriaca is naturally spreading in Turkey and can be grown in the gardens. In the study conducted by forming 5 different control groups in the application garden, results of pollination and reproduction success of taxa were observed. The number and varieties of pollinator, pollen counts, pollen viability and seed draft numbers were determined by various field and laboratory protocols. In addition, data about the type of pollination which increased the efficiency of the taxon were collected. According to this, it is determined that the species is closed to self-pollination (autogami), the average number of pollen per flower 240.000± 10,000, the number of seed draft 162 ± 6. In garden conditions, the basic pollinator of the taxon was observed as honey bees (Apis mellifera) and no other pollinator's visit was detected. In addition, the pollen vitality rate of the species was found to be 96% in the acetocarcin dye test.
