Heidegger's understanding of being and human in the context of fundamental ontology and hermeneutic phenomenology

This study investigates Martin Heidegger's understanding of being and human based on his key work Being and Time. In this context, first of all it approaches how Heidegger brings the question of being, and consequently the forgottenness of being forward and how he determines the method that allows this question to be studied. According to this, the study of being is fundamental ontology. Secondly, it approaches hermeneutic phenomenology that allows fundamental ontology. While hermeneutic phenomenology is not a separate philosophical field than fundamental ontology, it is the way to perform it. The entity that allows the study of fundamental ontology bu means of its hermeneutic fenomenology is Dasein. Dasein, while having other possibilities, is the only entity that has the possibility to ask the question of being and being itself, at the same time. Heidegger understands Dasein as the human in the ontological meaning. In this contex, finally, Heidegger's Dasein -his conception of human- analysis is examined. Heidegger's conception of human is distinguished from the former ones by being in the world, caring in this world and being temporal (Zeitlich).
