Examınıng relatıonshıp between emotıonal ıntellıgence and communıcatıoan abılıty levels of football arbıters

This study was done to determine the relations between emotional intelligence, communication ability and demographic variables for rating and ametour football arbiters in Turkey. They are from Turkcell super ligue, Bank Asya 1st ligue (Ligue1) ,2nd Ligue (Ligue2) , 3rd Ligue( Ligue 3) and ametour football matches arbiters in 2010?2011 football season. Study?s samples are consist of arbiters elected randomly working actively in 2010?2011 football season. In research ` Communication Abilities Evaluation Scale? was used, that was developed by Korkut(60) and validity and reliability was veri. Bar-on EQ-i emotional intelligence scale was developed by Reuven Bar-On in 1997 and it is originally a 88 section scale. Emotinal intelligence scale?s reliability was found % 93. Communication ability measurement and evaluation scale?s reliability was found %89. The collected datas were analised by statistical pack programme (SPSS.15,0) and results were commented. Datas frequency, percent analysis, in dual groups t-test, in more than two groups comparisons One way anova( post hock Tukey) tests will used. K, corrolation (r statistic) tests will used in examining relation. Stress management and interpersonal relations shows difference in p<0,05 level acording to arbiters? rating conditions. Arbiters? emotional intelligence levels, accordance to others are differenciate meaningfully acording to their education variable (p<0,05). Self awareness, interpersonal relations, accordance to conditions and environment, general mood sub- dimention level show difference meaningfully acording to revenue variable (p<0,05). Arbiters? communication ability levels were found meaningfully different acording to their ratings (p<0,05). There is a meaningful positive way relation in %11 level between arbiters? communication ability levels and emotional sub dimention stres management levels (p<0,05). Arbiters? stres management levels grow up when their communication ability levels grow up.Key words: Football Arbiter, Emotional Intelligenge, Communication Ability
