Examining the relationship between anxiety levels of sports injuries and musculoskeletal disorders in football players

Abstract (EN)

This research aims to examine the relationship of anxiety levels of soccer players in training and competitions with musculoskeletal discomfort. The research was carried out analytically and sectionally by the participation of 1200 football players in the province of Aydin. "Personal Information Form", "Sport Injury Anxiety Scale (Caz et al 2019) " and "Kornell Muscle Skeleton System Disorders Survey" has been used as data collection tools in research. In the licensed SPSS 25.0 package program, data obtained in the 95% confidence interval and 0.05 meaningfulness level were evaluated. One-way variance analysis (ANOVA) and Choleration analysis were performed. In the statistical analysis of the study, the anxiety of losing the ability of sports injury anxiety levels, frustration anxiety, poor perception anxiety, re-injury anxiety, anxiety about suffering, anxiety about losing social support, age of athletes, age of lower dimensions, the position was found to be a significant difference when compared to the league variables it played. It was found that the lower extremity, upper extremity and musculoskeletal disorders of the musculoskeletal disorders were a significant difference compared to the age, age of athletes, position, and league variables they played. As a result of the findings obtained from statistical analysis, it was concluded that as a result of increasing anxiety levels, musculoskeletal system disorders will increase.
