The literature descriptions in Fuzûlî's Leylâ and Mecnûn

This study has been prepared to find out similes as depiction factor in Fuzûlî's Leylâ and Mecnûn mesnevi. In our study the book "Fuzûlî's Leylâ and Mecnûn prepared by Hüseyin AYAN and Muhammet Nur DOĞAN is used. The thesis consists of three parts. In the introduction part, the political, economical and literate conditions of 16th century Ottoman Empire is examined. In the first part, primarily the literary description and synthesis are examined in detail. Also in the second part the writers of Leylâ and Mecnûn in Turkish Literatüre are organized. A detailed summary of mesnevi is given and its parts are put in order. In the third part, similes as depiction factor made in the couplets are grouped according to their topics and they are evaluted in plot. The poetic themes are explained partly and in the end of the work the images about the poetic themes are given. In the final part, a general evaluation of the thesis was made.
