Abstract (EN)

In literary arts, sehli mumteni refers to words that seem easy to write/say, but when one tries to write a similar word, one realizes how difficult it is. When it comes to determining sehli mumten, which has been explained in this way so far, elements such as simplicity, brevity, and naturalness, which can be understood differently by everyone, have been listed. We thought it would be beneficial for Turkish literature to examine whether sehli mumteni can be defined using more concrete expressions and to what extent linguistic elements are effective and determining in sehli mumteni. In order to place Sehli Mumteni in a more concrete framework, we determined certain boundaries to carry out our study. This boundary was chosen as the Turkish Divan of Fuzûlî, one of the Divan poets. First, we assessed the problems in the definitions made for sehli mumteni and discussed how we could approach the expression of sehli mumteni with concrete elements. We tried to put our principles on a solid basis by explaining why the couplets we believe to be sehli mumteni are so. At the end of our study, we realized that the reasons why the word sehli mumtenili is perceived as easy to write and the elements that actually make it difficult must be listed, and the depth of meaning must be sought between these two sides. Why is each word evaluated in its own elements and perceived as easy to say, and what actually makes it difficult to say? When we sought answers to their questions, we found that the answers given to these two questions were common to all statements. After identifying the elements of the easy and difficult sides, we examined which language elements the poet used to increase the depth of meaning and convey the difficult by making it easy, and how effective these elements were. For example, we determined that the subfunctions of case suffixes are important for the poem's depth of meaning, and therefore for the poem's sehli mumteni, and that they contribute to the sentences' depth of meaning. This enabled us to develop a method for approaching sehli mumteni in a more concrete way.
