The effect of 7th grade Turkish course reading skill activities prepared according to Gagne's Teaching Situations Model on reading comprehension and permanence of information

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the effects of 7th grade Turkish course reading skill activities planned according to the nine teaching stages in Gagné's Teaching Situations Model on reading comprehension and permanence of information. The study group consists of 7th grade students studying at a secondary school in Bulanık district in the 2023-2024 Academic Year. The application lasted 4 weeks -20 lesson hours-, and the same test was re-applied two weeks after the application to measure permanence. The model of the research is a pre-test-post-test control group quasi-experimental design. Statistics SPSS 25 program was used in the analysis of the data. The data were analyzed with independent relations t-test. According to the analysis, no significant difference was found between the pre-test success scores of the experimental and control groups. A significant difference was found in favor of the experimental group in the post-test and permanence test success scores.
