Abstract (EN)

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of Galamian?s violin teaching methods upon violin performance.Four 10th and 11th grade high school violin students from the Izmir (D.E.U.) State Conservatory participated in a study based on a `final exam? model. The Galamian Technique was used on the two students who formed the test group, while the control group, composed of the other two students, was prepared using another Russian teaching method. Data from the study was collected via a violin performance evaluation form developed by the researcher.Analysis of the data collected yielded marked results in favor of the test group, indicating a significant Russian teaching methods.İngilizce Anahtar Kelimeler:1- I.
