Özet (EN)

In this study, the effects of aluminum oxide at different concentration (10 ppm, 50 ppm and 100 ppm) and period of time (2, 4 and 8 hours) were investigated G. mellonella L. Great wax moth (Lepidoptera: Pyralidae) on SOD, CAT, GPx enzyme activities in the midgut and fat body of the larvae. In Al2O3 applications, significant changes were statistically observed in the antioxidant enzyme activities of the midgut and fat body of G. mellonella larvae. SOD and GPx activities in both tissues in the 10 ppm application groups decreased at the end of the 2-hour period compared to the control and there is no statistical difference compared to the control at the end of the 4 hour period. SOD, CAT and GPx enzyme activities in the midgut at 50 ppm concentration increased at the 2nd and 8th hours compared to the control. While three enzyme activities decreased in fat body in the 2-hour application period, a decrease in SOD and CAT activity was observed at the end of the 8-hour period. At the end of the 4-hour period in the 100 ppm application group, there was an increase in SOD CAT and GPx activities in both tissues compared to the control. In the 2-hour period, a decrease in all enzyme activities in the midgut, and a decrease in SOD and GPx activities in fat body were observed. According to the results, it was observed that Al2O3 solution induced oxidative stress in the midgut and fat body of G. mellonella larvae.
