Abstract (EN)

This study aims to observe the Turkish youth which has been deliberately constructed as an political opponent identity throughout the history of modern Turkey and also the emergence of the new ?youth movements? in 2000?s under the influence of globalization and neoliberalism. The main axis of our study is constituted by the new ?youth movements? who benefits actively from the new communication technologies-especially internet- and who has a different politically opposite manner during the 2000?s. The youths? place in the Turkish political scene and its political evolution are observed in a historical frame by treating the different youth movements appeared after the declaration of the Turkish Republic. Before observing the new ?youth movements?; it is definitely useful to treat the history of the youth ?as an important actor of the Turkish political history- to better understand today?s new youth movements and their evolution.
