Grammer of Garib-Name-noun

In this study, the language properties of one of the most important works of Old Anatolian Turkish, Âşık Pasha's Garibnâme, was investigated in terms of nouns. Even though this significant work of Old Anatolian Turkish, whose facsimile, transcribed text and translation into Turkey's Turkish were published by Prof. Dr. Kemal Yavuz, was discussed in various undergraduate, master's degree or doctoral degree theses, no sufficient study was conducted on the language properties of the work. In the study, by providing information about the life works of Âşık Pasha and the period he lived in, the affixes that make noun from a noun and noun inflection affixes were investigated and were samples. Investigated in separate sections, noun stemmed words, were examined in nine major topics in terms of their types, ways of usage and meanings. It was observed that this work, which includes a rather rich material in terms of vocabulary and language, possessed typical properties of Old Anatolian Turkish.
