Abstract (EN)
In this study, YIG (Yttrium-Iron-Garnet, Y3Fe5O12) doped with rare earth elements Cerium and Bismuth were produced by using sol-gel and co-precipitation methods for different pH values and temperatures. The prepared solutions were annealed in the temperature range of 800–1400oC and forming garnet phases was observed. Microstructural and magnetic properties of nano powders during and after the fabrication process characterized by using XRD, VSM and SEM. The magneto-optic properties of the obtained magnetic fluid were observed via designed magneto-optical (MO) measurement system, which measure Faraday rotations with 0.5o sensitivity. Faraday rotations were calculated theoretically and compared with the experimental MO results.
