Abstract (EN)

In energy generation, cogeneration systems which reuse waste energy, resulting in an indirect system efficiency increase, are designed, developed and made ready to use. By cogeneration systems, heat and electrical energy generation is synchronously obtained. These systems provide a huge cost advantage in industrial and domestic areas as fuel reserves are decreasing. The technological evolution goes on at turbines used in these systems. Micro-gas turbines are subjected to be the latest technology at this point. These turbines are product of new turbine technology both being compact and small. Cogeneration by micro-gas turbine can be applied to a system of determined energy requirement in addition to heat energy requirement. Natural gas takes the first place in fuels used in these systems. Natural gas, according to its combustion efficiency and process wastes, provides usage easiness compared. The studies on obtaining fuel from wastes are going on for solving the raw material problem in energy generation and biogas generation has a leading position among these studies. The technological development of biogas is pioneered as a result of having an unlimited raw material for fuel supply. The researches began in Fachhochschule Gelsenkirchen, Germany, with the measurements on system values, and result in that system does not work properly. Inefficient system is considered by its heat transfer equations and designed again. However, according to investigations and test results, the gas coming out of micro-gas turbine contains sodium but there is proper comment how this sodium come out. The waste gas coming out of turbine has a high velocity and does not diffuse efficiently. So for a better heat transfer, the gas is tried to be guide. In addition of these researching, in Turkey and some cities in Europe practicability of this application are researched, in different working hours could be seen how the system provides the need of its energy and heat and back pay time was researched. Keywords: Co-generation, micro-gas turbine, micro turbine, natural gas, biogas
