Abstract (EN)
In the research, the profile of the students, who have passed the aptitude examinations which were done for Gazi Education Faculty, Main Discipline of the Painting Teaching 2006 ? 2007 academic year, is determined. Population of the research is composed of the students of Gazi University Gazi Education Faculty, Main Discipline of the Painting Teaching. Survey method was used in this research. Questionnaires were used to gather the necessary data. The survey is composed of 6 major parts and a total of 47 questions. Some of the research results are as follows:1.27, 55% of the students were born in Ankara. The remaining of the students (72, 45%) were born in 43 different cities of Turkey. 70 per cent of the registered students are girls. When birth years were taken into account, it could be seen that 68,26% of the students were born in 1988.2.67% of the students have chosen Main Discipline of the Painting Teaching in order to become a painting teacher. In this choice, the influence of the painting teachers is observed as 55%.3.After the 2006-2007 aptitude exam 105 students registered to Gazi Education Faculty, Division of Painting Education. 25 of those who registered were from the reserve list. Nevertheless, there is still a shortage of 15 students.
