Özet (EN)

In the research, it is proposed to state difficulties and solutions subjected to the organisation and equipment of handcraft department in the acuity of Vocational Education in Gazi University. The questionnaire-survey method is preferred in the research. The research consists of totally 180 students and teaching staff, each 30 students of whom from departments that are in the first and the third classes of Handcraft Teaching, Decorative Arts and Embroidery Teacher Training programmes and in the first and the second classes of Textile Woven and Knitting Teacher Training part. As a result of practised scale the data is evaluated over the package of SPSS 10.0. In order to build up a theoretical base of research. A scale for the students and teaching staff of Handcraft department is developed in the parallel whit the aims of the research by the help of accumulated information. The scale of teaching staff is planned for them to evaluate individual data and the atmosphere of teaching in their workshops; on the other hand, the students scale gives an opportunity to them in comparing their present workshops in teacher training with their past workshops in the high schools. In scales, the subject related to workshops are given under three topics such as; physical atmosphere and equipment planning and practising lastly outcome. Besides, lists covering the necessary machines and equipment in workshops are prepared in order to indicate the short coming of workshops in the field of equipment. The existent state is reflected. Whatever it is in a woven workshop; physical atmosphere, equipment and automation are planned in terms of experiences, data in the field, observation and examination practised at Textile Deportment of the Technical Education Faculty in Marmara University. In analysing data to comment on the results of the research, the number of ideas (N), arithmetical average (X) standard deviations (S) among groups point out consistency, grade of 0.05. The groups are frequency and percent rates for individual data, the learners present classes and their past in high schools. The other one is physical atmosphere-equipment, planning-practising and outcome for teaching staff. Total student 's number is 180 teaching staff 37 in the research. More than half of Handmade Classes are coming from Girls Vocational Lycee (% 59.4). Those coming to Decorative Arts Teacher Training are almost all from Girls VocationalLycee graduates (%91.6). The almost half of the students in the Department of Textile Woven and Knitting Teacher Training are graduated from Anatolian Vocational Lycee (%46.4). And also most of the students in Embroidery Teacher Tanning Programme are graduates from Girls Vocational Lycee (%86.6). In the faculty of Vocational Education and Handcraft Teaching Department; Teaching Staff consist of two professors, two associate professors, 13 assistant professors, 8 teaching assistant and 12 research assistants. Half of the staff have been working for 6-10 years (%21.6) and the rest have been on duty for 26 years and over. When we point out physical atmosphere - equipment planning-practise and outcome, it is concluded that learners think workshops in their high schools are better than workshop in their teacher training. When we mention the capacity of workshops it is understood that there is a significant difference between learners high school and their training in terms of physical atmosphere-equipment, planning-practising and outcome in the field of study. In the evaluation of teaching staff about the capacity of workshops, it is certain that the, physical atmosphere-equipment, planning - practising are not adequate for them but they are optimistic about the outcome in the filed of study. To teacher training programme and their evaluation in workshops they don't see any difference in planning - practising and the outcome of general teaching. It is observed that teaching staff from Decorative Arts-Textile Woven Knitting programme and Textile Woven Chinning-Emhroidery Teacher Training don't see any difference in physical atmosphere and equipment. But, they agree that a huge difference is possible when they handle the outcome (benefit) in the filed of study. When we compare the comments of teaching staff and learners thought related to the capacity of workshops it is concluded that they reveal an important difference between general study and the field study about planning and practising. They are also parallel in the evaluation of physical atmosphere and equipment. In the study we take place a draft of woven workshop in quality responding to the needs with the help of collected data in interviews and the course of the research.
