Study of making imitated doll techniques programme practiced at Gazi University Faculty of Vocational Education

The goal of research is to observe the course about Imitated Doll Techniques which is applied at Gazi University Faculty of Vocational Educational Handcrafts Department Decorative Arts Branch of Study according to students? view.The population of research is created by 104 students who study at Gazi University Faculty of Vocational Education and take courses about making Imitated Doll Techniques. As the whole population has been reached, the sample was not taken.For the purpose of receiving students? opinion, survey technique was used. Attained information was analyzed with SPSS packaged program.It is determined that imitated doll techniques courses do not attract students? attention, students? determine the duration given for this course insufficient to achieve the goal, they see the goals and contents which are stated for Imitated Doll Techniques courses are inefficient and the topics of the course satisfy partially their expectations.It is observed that the workshop for Imitated Doll Techniques courses was inadequate in terms of size, technical facilities and the number of materials and tools used as well as adequate tools and equipment are not used and the material used for making product have difficulties in supplying.It is observed that the dolls which are made in Imitated Dolls Technique courses also draw attention outside academy and are exhibited.It is reached to a conclusion of evaluation that there are no foundations or institutions for marketing the dolls, which are made in Imitated Dolls Techniques courses and this foundations and institutions do not take part in improving Imitated Dolls Techniques courses.
