Barak folk songs (New collected works of folk songs and their notation)

In addition to its musical and literary aspect, Barak folk songs also describe a cultural history that lasted for centuries. The first aim of the study is to put together Barak songs in this context and create a multifaceted resource. During the study, firstly Barak songs were found in the sources and after that,a compilation made from untapped folk songs. Detected folk songs examined according to its structure, subject and melody and also the songs which had a story also examined. In this research, information about Gaziantep Barak culture and Barak folk songs were given, folk songs were sorted and classified according to the subject and the variants of the songs are disclosed. Also Barak folk performances and the leading performers of Barak folk songs were mentioned and folk songs were evaluated by the functional method.
