Food labeling systems

Labels are valuables when they have significant details for consumers. They have to include wider information which will effect to consumers for changed their consumption habits according to the label information. This project has examined by reviewing labels of products or with which technologies and methods can be reachable to details, how to find freshness, traceability and quality information while purchasing quite good nutriment for human. The labels should include required information for selecting foods. Easier systems values are increasing to understanding to labels. The search for effective and more technological nutrition labeling has started. Time-temperature indicator, freshness indicator, pathogens, biosensors, gas concentrations indicators, to recognize radio frequency (RFID) is categoriated as smart labels. Smart labeling technology, which has found different application areas in different sectors, is a promising technology for food safety in food sector and it is seen in applications in various experimental and industrial studies in the literature.
