Abstract (EN)

Nowadays, there have been significant developments in the retailing sector. Many different products exist on the market to meet the needs of the consumer and they are in competition with other products. In this intense competitive environment, it can be seen that the atmosphere pf shops where the presentation and sales of the products have also become important in addition to diversifying the products to create differentiation. The atmosphere is an important factor that influence consumer preferences in the retail sector to differ from competitors. By showing the shops more attractive to the consumers, these consumers may spend alot of time in this stores. For this reason, it is aimed to determine the customer perceptions related to shelf/layout management in Migros, a food retail sector firm. The sample is consist of 200 customers coming to shopping at 4 different Migros stores in the province of Kuşadası, Aydın. Personal information form and Shelf Management Scale developed by Bülbül, Topal and Çağlın (2016) were used as data collection tools in the study. In the analysis of the data, Levene test, Shapiro Wilk test, Student t test, Mann Whitney-U test, Tukey HSD test and Bonferroni Dunn test were used through SPSS package program. In conclusıon, age (p<0.05) and monthly net income (p<0.01) were significantly related with product display while there were a significant relationship between the use of labeling and monthly net income (p<0.01)and shopping period (frequency) (p<0.05).
