Özet (EN)

Aim: Human papilloma virus (HPV) is a common sexually transmitted disease agent. 70% of sexually active women is exposed to this infection. HPV which is an epitheliotrophic virus, has affinity to the epithelium of the perineum, anus, oropharenx and skin. Due to take place in the etiology of preinvasive and invasive cervix cancer, HPV is important for maternal health. Fetus exposes multiple microorganisms including HPV when passing through the maternal cervix and vagina during normal birth. HPV transmitted from here, constitute a risk in terms of the newborn because its contaminating oropharynx and causing laryngeal papillomatosis. In our study, it is aimed to determine the prevalence of HPV in pregnant women for outpatient antenatal follow-up. Method: Outpatients who admitted to Bülent Ecevit University Practice and Research Hospital between June 2011-June 2013 and accepted to participate in the research, are enrolled in to the study. At the first contact with pregnant women, taken cervical swabs HPV DNA with the PCR method were studied. Assess the data SPSS 13.0 package program was used. Data: Total 448 patients attended in to the study. The mean age of patients was 26.5±4.8. HPV DNA is determined as positive in 26 (5.8%) of patients. 20 (77%) of the 26 (5.8%) HPV positive patients had high-risk HPV types (type 16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 59, 66, 67, 70), 6 patients (23%) had low-risk HPV types (type 11, 42, 54, 57, 81, 84) detected. 14 of HPV positive patients (54%) have only one type of HPV, 12 of HPV positive patients (46%) have more than one type of HPV. In the cases determined multiple HPV types one patient has twelve HPV types (3.8%), 2 patients have eleven HPV types (7.6%), 2 patients have ten HPV types (3.8%), 1 patient has five HPV types (3.8% of cases), 2 patients have four HPV types (7.6%), 2 patients have three HPV types (7.6%), 2 patients have two HPV types (7.6%). Between pregnancy and labor rates and HPV DNA positivity is a significant relationship, in woman who have less pregnancy and labor HPV was found to be more frequent. Result: İn the our country, in different regions and different populations in studies conducted of HPV prevalence in women is reported to range between 2.2-26%. In our study, HPV DNA prevalence in pregnant women were found as 5.8%. HPV which is an oncogenic virus, as well as being primary factor in the etiology of cervical cancer, through to the fetus during delivery to cause laryngeal papillomatosis due to be considered in antenatal care is a risk factor. Western Black Sea province of Zonguldak at a high rate detected cervical HPV prevalence in our country in other areas, which is rated to determine the work to be done as a result, public health and to protect the cervical smear HPV screening antenatal follow-up tests may be enclosed.
