Object: The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the pain experienced on pregnancy and to determine the effect of pain on quality of life. Materials and Method: The study included pregnant women aged 18-41 (n = 400) who presented to Moris Şinasi Gynecology and Obstetrics outpatient clinic in Manisa Merkez Efendi State Hospital between February 1 - June 30, 2017 and stated that they had pain according to VAS. In the analysis of the data, 16.00 SPSS for Windows statistical analysis program, Frequency, Percent distribution, Independent samples t test for the normal distribution of numerical variables in the independent two group comparisons, Mann Whitney U test for the cases in which the numerical variables were not normally distributed. Finding: The mean gestational age was 32,50 ± 6,602 (Min = 10, Max = 42). 70% of the pregnant women participated in the study stated that they had low back pain, 27% had back pain and 24% had heard of groin pain. A statistically significant relationship was found between the gestational week and the pain regions of the patients who had back, headache and headache according to gestational week. Results: It was concluded that the pain experienced in the last trimester of pregnancy decreases the quality of life. According to Mcgill Melzack Pain Questionnaire scores, quality of life decreases as quality of life decreases due to decrease in physical function, energy-vitality, vitality, mental health, pain and general health scores.
