Abstract (EN)
In this study, it is aimed to study the effects of psychosocial factors and resilience on occurrence depressive symptoms in pregnancy. Furthermore, this study aimed to search about the effects of sociodemographic variables, previous pregnancy experiences, the expectations about the process of pregnancy and birth on the occurrence of the symptoms of depression in pregnancy. The sample of this study includes 215 pregnant women that were chosen randomly and they live in Ümraniye, Kadıköy and Maltepe in İstanbul. Beck Depression Scale, Resilience Scale and Personal Information Form that was prepared by researcher were used in this study to collect data. SPSS 23.0 package program was used to analyze data. It is found that; resilience has an impact on the occurrence depressive symptoms in pregnancy. Furthermore, it is found that; the marital status, the duration of marriage, the relationship between husband and the pregnant woman, the problems about sexuality has an impact on the occurrence depressive symptoms in pregnancy. In addition, this study found relations between smoking in pregnancy period, unwilling pregnancy, previous psychiatric problems, negative expectations about birth, negative expectations about their social relations after birth and the occurrence depressive symptoms in pregnancy.
