The affect of urban renewal application on neighbourhood relations on tenement regions

The urban transformation has recently become one of the major issues of urban planning throughout the world. Applications are the name given to the process of creating a new economy in cities, developing existing areas, creating jobs, creating infrastructure or changing production, which is within the changing production and capital relations framework. The cities of Turkey are observed to develop applications with their unique strategies. The projects that are shaped within the market conditions today are targeting the areas of immigration and poverty, which are making the spatial and social impacts controversial. A correctly implemented project has the potential to provide significant opportunities. However, the physical transformation created leads to significant changes in the lifestyles and behaviors of individuals, the quality of interpersonal relations in this context and neighborly relations, which are very important for urban life. The neighborhood, neighborhood relations are among the fundamental values of family relations and intertwined society. The emergence of this network of relations requires a long process, and in terms of providing social solidarity and assistance, it becomes an important dynamic that keeps the society together and creates the conditions of existence in the city, especially in the weak living areas formed by migration. This makes the issue extremely important for city planning. From this point of view, what kind of transformative effects on neighborly relations is based on the new physical formation created by urban regeneration practices has been discussed within the scope of this study. In the thesis, which focuses on the impact of the practices, especially in the areas of "migration and poverty", the changing characteristics of the social life in an area in Antalya Kepez where the implementation was completed is tried to be determined. The findings of the field study, which were based on interviews with living communities, supported the existence of the effect sought to draw attention.
