Abstract (EN)
Climate change is affecting the whole world. Our cultural heritage structures, which are sensitive to the climate, are negatively affected by this change. Cultural heritage elements are worn out and disappearing day by day. With the changing climate conditions, our heritage buildings are facing problems such as material deterioration and structural damage. In the current situation, it is important to identify future risks as well as to detect and repair the distortions occurring in the material structure. The aim of this thesis is to determine the distortions that will occur in our heritage structures with the effect of climate change. It is aimed to create risk maps to identify possible future disruptions in line with climate change scenarios and existing material degradation research. Beyşehir Eşrefoğlu Mosque, which was included in the Temporary List of World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in 2012 and is currently being studied for permanent inclusion in the list, was selected as a study area. Within the scope of the study, the repairs that the structure examined has undergone in the past have been revealed and deterioration maps expressing the current material deteriorations have been produced. Future risks have been identified for the mosque and future risk maps have been produced. As a result, suggestions were presented against the risks posed by climate change for Eşrefoğlu mosque.
